The Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort brings Anantara’s chic design, authentic experiences and Thai-inspired hospitality to the shores of Sri Lanka. You can even walk to a nearby small beach where there are simple beach restaruants.

Dining here is a pleasure with a selection of options on offer throughout the day. The main venue is Journeys, which as the name suggest allows you to enjoy a variety of flavours from around the world. For something a little more unique there is the oceanfront restaurant Verela, a teppanyaki restaurant with a local flavour. Another favourite dinner setting is the edge of the rocky outcrop, where you will find the award-winning Italian speciality restaurant Il Mare. The resort also offers a farm-to-table dining experience which includes a walk along the organic paddy field and farm.

The ambience of the accommodation here reflects the rest of the resort – indigenous Sri Lankan design and locally sourced furnishings and artworks are used throughout the spacious rooms and villas. Each Premier and Deluxe Room features a terrace or balcony which overlooks the gardens, or for a supplement the beach and ocean. For true indulgence there are a selection of highly recommended villas, each of which has a private terrace with a plunge pool; you can choose between garden or ocean views or a beachside setting.
