Description

Arriving at Baia dei Mori Beachclub you’re struck by the relaxed vibe.
Baia Dei Mori is brand new for 2017. Take a stroll on winding paths through the dunes to the beach. The clear turquoise water lapping at your feet will instantly wash away thoughts of home. It’s situated on the north east coast of the Italian island of Sardinia, to the south of the famous Costa Smeralda

We include a wide range of activities in your holiday. If you’re into road cycling, you’ll be in your element. On road or off road, it’s the best cycling on offer in any of our beachclubs. It can get pretty breezy too, so it’s just great for sailors and windsurfers. You can also kitesurf at a nearby beach (non inclusive activity), when the wind blows the conditions are great.

We’ll be adding lots of additional facilities and refurbishing others. We’re planning four new tennis courts, a new pool and a new kids’ pool. The pool bar and terrace is having a makeover and we’re busy creating some new treatment rooms.

For Families
Key information
Sardinia feels a little like Italy has taken a holiday. Sitting in the Mediterranean Sea, its sandy beaches, deep turquoise waters and rugged mountainous interior are breathtaking. If you want to explore, a 15-minute drive south from the beachclub is the ancient village of Posada. Set atop a cliff, and adorned with trees, the winding streets offer picturesque scenes at every turn. The 360-degree views from the Castello della Fava at the top of the village are stunning.Airport transfer time:Approx. 40 minutes from Olbia airport Rooms:157
Accommodation information
The rooms are all on one level, each with a small terrace and set within the shady gardens, dotted with sweet-smelling pine trees. Whether you’re nearer the tennis courts or the pool, it’s only a short walk to the central restaurant and reception area.

Interiors are modern and simply decorated with various layouts depending on your needs. There’s lots of light thanks to glass terrace doors and the rooms have a fresh, clean finish. Choose from twin, double, triple, family and interconnecting rooms.

Each room has air conditioning, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone, TV, safe, beach towels and hairdryer.

Activities
Activities on the water
Dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding are all inclusive activities, and for a little extra you can also give kitesurfing a go.

The sweeping bay with soft, fine sand and clear, warm water is picture perfect. Get down there early, grab a stand up paddle board or kayak and head out. The pine-fringed bay is undeveloped with beautiful views all around and the vista so vast you’ll feel like paddling for miles.

The water is shallow and still, making it the perfect place to learn to windsurf or sail. Once your confidence grows, there’s more of a breeze further out and a vast expanse of water just waiting to be explored.

As one of the windier regions of Italy, Sardinia is a mecca for kitesurfers, from beginner to advanced. You’ll be able to book beginner sessions nearby or hire the kit if you can already kitesurf.

The beautiful shallow waters and peaceful bay don’t lend themselves to water skiing and wakeboarding; instead we’ve decided to focus on the other activities that make Sardinia so special.

Wind conditions
The wind typically picks up in the middle of the day between around 11am and 3pm. It blows cross to cross off-shore most days. The typical wind force ranges from 3-4 with the most consistent conditions in June, July and August.

Activities on the shore
There’s even more on the shore, join us for road cycling, mountain biking, tennis coaching and fitness classes, all are included, just dip-in and dip-out as you please. If you’re happiest in the saddle then Sardinia’s road cycling won’t let you down. Roads climb in sweeping curves through the rugged mountains, with spectacular views of valleys and coastlines that make the thigh burn worth every second.

If you’re new to the sport, or want to give it a go, there are flatter road routes too. If you prefer riding off-road then the mountain biking ranges from flat beginner routes to technical climbs and challenging descents. There’s some great wildlife off the beaten track – keep your eyes peeled for countless birds, butterflies and lizards. If you want to get out and ride as a family, you’ll find a great choice of bikes and rides suitable for children over 13 years. Within the beachclub there are four new tennis courts and an outdoor fitness deck where you can hit it hard or stretch and relax.

If nothing else, take a stroll down to the beachfront at dusk. The views in the soft light across the sea will melt away the stresses and strains.

Dining
It’s club board with an Italian touch at Baia del Mori Beachclub (breakfast and lunch every day, plus four evening meals per week). There’s an oven for freshly baked pizza and nothing feels like too much trouble for the friendly local team. The restaurant area is large and conveniently placed in the centre of the beachclub where you’ll be dining al fresco under welcome shade.
