The Hotel Split’s picture-perfect location is an enviable one. On a beautiful pebble beach in Podstrana, a small town in the south-east of Split, it has stunning views out over the central Dalmatian islands and the glittering waters of the Adriatic. Compact yet innovative, it makes the most of its beachfront location with sea views from each of the 40 rooms. Conscious of the surrounding environment, there is a strong eco ethos here. The hotel uses renewable energy wherever possible, recycles daily, has its own solar power station and is the first A-category hotel in Croatia. Even the cuisine is responsibly sourced using local ingredients.

There’s a small, peaceful harbour tantalisingly close, calling you away from the pristine beach for a stroll to admire the yachts in port. For a day of rest and recuperation, we recommend heading down the hotel steps straight onto the beach where you’ll find comfortable sun beds and inspiring views.

Escape for a rejuvenating spa treatment or unwind in the pretty little garden that’s tucked away within the grounds. For dinner, make your way to the rooftop terrace for dining beneath the stars at L’Aroma. Here, you can expect beautifully prepared Mediterranean cuisine including delicious steaks and fresh salads.

Nautically themed Standard Rooms have been designed to replicate the romantic feel of a cruise liner stateroom. With every bed placed on a raised platform, you’ll awake each morning to an idyllic sea view. You can choose the colour of your Superior Room which have bright shades of blue, green, turquoise, terracotta, purple or grey and more impressive sea views with the central Dalmatian islands in the distance. To be as close to the sea as possible, opt for one of the spacious Superior Terrace Rooms, the closest in the hotel to the pebble beach.
