The world’s third largest hotel and extensive entertainment complex where the A-list perform.
Grand in name, grand in nature, this huge Las Vegas hotel is almost a city in itself. When it comes to the number and scale of entertainment, dining, drinking and partying options, there are few other hotels around the world that can come close to matching MGM Grand. The iconic MGM lion sits overlooking the Strip and electronic billboards advertise a dazzling array of shows and events on offer – your days may take a bit of organising if you are planning on fitting everything in. The Cirque du Soleil show “KÀ” is performed daily, while at the Grand Garden Arena a-list bands and singers perform as part of world or national tours, and sporting fixtures such as basketball and NHL are held. It should also come as no surprise that the casino here is one of the largest in Las Vegas with thousands of machines and over 130 table games.
Only a hotel the scale of the MGM Grand can be home to such a huge number of restaurants, lounges and bars – there are 20 restaurants in total offering a broad spectrum of cuisines from around the globe. World-famous chefs such as Wolfgang Puck and Tom Colicchio have venues here, as well as the only three Michelin starred restaurant in Vegas Joël Robuchon. Be sure to reserve your table in advance – this is one of the most sought after tables in town. If you’re in the mood for a party then look no further than the hottest night (and day) spots in Vegas; at Hakkasan world-famous DJs such as Tiësto and Calvin Harris entertain the crowds; while at the adults-only Wet Republic Ultra Pool you can join lively daytime pool parties with special guest and resident DJs.
When it comes to accommodation there is obviously plenty of choice here – there are an impressive 5044 rooms and suites set throughout the hotel’s different wings and towers. Rooms are decorated in a chic style featuring modern works of art. As their names would suggest the West Wing King Rooms are located in the hotel’s west wing which is the closest wing to the strip and many of the entertainment venues. For a little more space we recommend the Grand King Rooms which are located in the Grand Tower and feature a small living area.
