The Mount Nevis Hotel

A unique family-owned Caribbean retreat with sweeping landscapes and diverse island activities.
Birthplace of Alexander Hamilton, an American Founding Father and inspiration behind the now hit musical, Hamilton, the Caribbean island of Nevis is steeped in history, and this hotel is no different. In an elevated north-coast position right by the mighty Mount Nevis – the island’s centrepiece and the hotel’s namesake – this resort dates back to an early 19th-Century lime plantation but was renovated in 2016, with a mix of rooms to suit couples and families. Nevis is extremely tranquil, and the hotel’s trump card is the breathtaking views it provides from every angle, whether you’re strolling through its stately hillside gardens or soaking up crystal blue sea on the horizon.

Delve into a world of diverse flavours at the hotel’s al fresco Bella Vista Restaurant, with fresh produce and seafood plus excellent views over Saint Kitts. While we encourage guests to eat out for lunch and dinner to explore more of the island, breakfast is included and à la carte menus plus Half Board and Full Board meal upgrades are also available. The hotel offers access to various cultural trips and outdoor escapades; head to Charlestown for historical Hamilton House or the nearby ruins of Cottle Church, now a popular wedding venue. Go horse riding along historic trails or bike across beautiful beaches, or if you don’t plan on venturing far, take a dip in the 60-foot pool. For thrill-seekers, summit the giddy Nevis Peak, where you could be rewarded with incredible views over Antigua, Montserrat and Guadeloupe.

Light décor and sliding doors make the air-conditioned rooms even airier. Options range from Mountain View to Superior Ocean View Rooms, spread between the original hotel buildings and brand new pavillion, and each has a private furnished balcony or patio, perfect for taking in those therapeutic vistas. Upgrade to a luxurious Two Bedroom Villa, complete with screened veranda, for added space and privacy.
