Set on a hillside overlooking a secluded cove tucked away from the heart of Bodrum, this is a true ‘away-from-it-all’ retreat. What we love most about this beautiful Kempinski resort is the private sandy beach on which it sits, and the sense of tranquillity you feel as soon as you arrive. A favourite spot is the Chill Out Lounge that has views out over the infinity pool and the yacht-filled bay beyond. And then there’s the waterside Sundeck Lounge, an adults-only enclave set over the edge of the Aegean Sea… pure bliss.
Foodies will be in heaven, with plenty of dining options offering everything from Mediterranean cuisine at the main restaurant, Olives, to Pan-Asian delights at Saigon. One of the most popular venues for lunch is the Barbarossa Beach Restaurant. Set right on the beach, it features a wood-burning pizza oven and sizzling hot charcoal grill. Some restaurants are open seasonally, with others only opening on certain days of the week.
The rooms here reflect the relaxed chic style that is prevalent throughout the whole resort, with warm tones and light-filled spaces. Standard Rooms, and slightly more spacious Superior Rooms, offer partial sea views from the private balcony. For full sea views we recommend the Deluxe Rooms which also feature a cosy nook with a day bed. If it’s all about the view, Grand Deluxe Rooms have panoramic views of the Aegean Sea.
