Description
Experience elegance and laid-back luxury on the popular Aitutaki Lagoon.
Voted World’s Leading Boutique Resort at the World Travel Awards 2015 and The Cook Islands’ only member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection, this exquisite and peaceful resort is set in large grounds on a secluded lagoon. It’s a tropical island paradise with breathtaking turquoise waters and lush forestry – perfectly complemented by traditional Polynesian décor and world-class service. As you arrive at your retreat, you’re greeted with traditional flower garlands and a refreshing coconut drink to gently ease you into the island’s relaxing pace.
A diver and snorkeller’s paradise, the calm waters of the lagoon are incredible. Go snorkelling to discover the colourful marine life or simply relax on the picture-perfect beach. There’s a choice of two restaurants; Rapae Bay Restaurant offers a Pacific-Rim menu which specialises in fresh seafood and the Black Rock Bar serves tasty daytime snacks and drinks.
The individual Beachfront Bungalows and Villas offer a real sense of seclusion. Surrounded by glistening sands and aquamarine waters, all rooms feature a private covered deck — the perfect spot for relaxing and listening to the soothing sound of the waves. Premium Beachfront Bungalows are set directly on the white sands overlooking the lagoon. The Premium Beachfront Bungalow Plus is more spacious and families and small groups can choose a Two Bedroom Premium Beachfront Bungalow. The Ultimate Beachfront Bungalows are perfect for couples looking for an intimate setting and incredible beach views.
