‘Discovery in the Desert’
Sossusvlei Desert Lodge is set in the far northern part of the NamibRand Nature Reserve, the largest private nature reserve in Southern Africa, showcasing 180-hectares of dramatic landscapes, endless horizons and jagged mountains. The dunes of the Namib contain specially adapted creatures, the plains and dry watercourses are home to gemsbok, kudu, giraffe and zebra which can all be discovered through scenic drives. Exciting and immersive quad bike trails offer a unique way to experience the desert and end with a scenic sundowner. You can also depart on an excursion to the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei, among the highest in the world. End your day perfectly with a visit to the lodge’s observatory and gaze in awe at the clear desert sky. At the lodge you can bask in panoramas from the serene swimming pool and wrap-around veranda, or from your suite’s spit-level bedroom and living area.
