This luxurious retreat is at the tip of a rocky peninsula overlooking the wide sweeping bay of St. George’s. It’s elegant, beautifully designed and has six pools around the resort, as well as access to the private rocky beach through The Lido St. George’s Bay. The Lido, which is open to the public as well as guests, has a range of watersports, including diving and late-night swimming until 9pm (July to August).

If you’d rather spend your days relaxing, there’s a wide selection of beauty therapies, saunas, an indoor pool and Jacuzzi at the Apollo Day Spa. The dining options are just as diverse as the leisure facilities. Have a delicious buffet breakfast at Fra Martino Restaurant and Terrace, eat Asian-inspired dishes at Buddhamann and grab a seat at the casual all-American Henry J. Bean’s Bar and Grill with happy hour each day from 5.30-7pm. Caviar & Bull has a more sophisticated tone – run by renowned chef, Marvin Gauci, it’s one of the best modern Mediterranean restaurants in Malta.
