Description
‘Contrasting Landscapes; Riverside Villas’
Set on the banks of the Kunene River, in the north-west of Namibia in the Hartmann Valley, Serra Cafema Camp offers a remote lodge in a tranquil setting. Inspired by the area’s Himba people, the camp combines a mix of rustic and luxury elements; comprising a main area, sunken lounge, library, curio shop, dining areas and swimming pool all overlooking the peaceful Kunene River. The riverside villas are set on spacious, elevated decks with seating areas and hammocks. Boating trips take you along the river and offer up sightings of wildlife such as waterbirds and crocodiles, whilst the contrasting Namib Desert sands can be covered by quad bike, open vehicle or foot. Excursions to the Himba community allow you to learn about their traditional way of life and you can also depart on a full-day activity to the picturesque Marienfluss Valley.
In Our Opinion
‘Spend your day on a fast-paced quad bike excursion or slowly glide along the calm river, with a comfortable lodge awaiting your return.’
